The hotel is also located very closely to the high street and local shopping centre. The only down point for here is the lack of a smoking area for anyone that smokes, the laws in Manila state that businesses must have a license in order to provide a smoking area and the Ascott does not have one, as such guests must use the public smoking point which is located just around the corner by the public car park. The bars offer a wide selection of beers, wine and spirits and aside from the main meals in the restaurant, the pool side bar also offers a selection of meals and snacks. The hotel has a gym, pool, pool side bar and restaurant as well as a separate bar as well on the 2nd floor. There is daily housekeeping and the housekeepers are also very friendly and professional and make a real effort to provide a nice experience. ![]() ![]() The entrance to the Ascott is bright and spacious and the whole building is clean and fresh. The hotel is very tight on security but absolutely everyone is amazingly polite and friendly. The rooms are set out like small flats, you get a large bed with bedside cabinets, a desk and chair, a sofa and coffee table, a large TV, a dining table, a small kitchen with a microwave, hob, fridge/ freezer, kettle, cutlery, crockery and a washer/drier, the bathrooms are large with separate bath and shower, the shower is amazing with a waterfall head. The rooms here are large and so are the beds which are also very comfortable. ![]() I had a room facing out over the main entrance of the hotel, which was perfectly quiet. I staid here on a recent business trip, and it was a brilliant place to stay.
